Privacy Policy

Sereo is designed as a private, offline-first trading journal. Your trades, notes, attachments, account balances, targets and other journal content are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to Sereo servers.

This Privacy Policy explains how Sereo, provided by MiTySoft (“Sereo”, “we”, “us” or “our”), handles information when you use the Sereo mobile application and the sereo.cc website.

1. Information stored locally on your device

Sereo may store the following information locally on your device:

trades, fills, positions and transaction history;
prices, quantities, fees, profit and loss calculations;
notes, tags, screenshots and attachments;
watchlists, price targets and calculator inputs;
application settings and preferences;
your optional Finnhub API key.

This information is used only to provide the application’s features. Sereo does not operate a user-account system or its own cloud database. Journal content is not transmitted to MiTySoft.

2. Optional market-data connection

You may optionally provide your own Finnhub API key to retrieve market prices, company information, earnings data or news.

The API key is stored using secure storage provided by your device. When market-data features are used, instrument symbols and relevant date ranges may be sent directly from your device to Finnhub. Your trades, quantities, notes, account balances and price targets are not sent to Finnhub.

3. Advertising

The free version of Sereo may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob and its advertising partners may process information such as:

device and advertising identifiers;
IP address and approximate location;
advertising interactions and performance information;
device, operating system and application information.

Advertisements may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your location, consent choices, device settings and applicable law. Where required, Sereo presents a consent or privacy-choice form before requesting personalized advertising.

Google processes this information according to the Google Privacy Policy .

4. Optional analytics and crash reporting

Sereo may use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand general application usage and diagnose technical failures.

Analytics and crash reporting are optional and disabled by default. They are activated only after you enable the relevant privacy setting.

This information may include:

application installation identifiers;
device model and operating system version;
application version and general feature interactions;
crash logs, stack traces and diagnostic information.

Sereo is designed not to include trade symbols, prices, quantities, notes, attachments or other journal content in analytics or crash reports.

5. Purchases

Purchases of Sereo Pro are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Sereo does not receive or store your complete payment-card information.

Sereo may use RevenueCat to verify purchase status, restore purchases and determine whether Sereo Pro features should be unlocked. RevenueCat may process purchase identifiers, application identifiers, device identifiers and purchase-status information.

RevenueCat processes information according to its Privacy Policy .

6. Website information

The sereo.cc website is hosted by Vercel. When you visit the website, standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, requested page and request time may be processed in server logs for security, reliability and delivery of the website.

The website does not currently use advertising cookies, account registration or marketing trackers.

7. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by service providers only when required to provide the relevant feature:

Google AdMob for advertising;
Google Firebase for optional analytics and crash reporting;
RevenueCat for purchase verification;
Apple or Google for processing in-app purchases;
Finnhub when you use optional market-data features;
Vercel for hosting the Sereo website.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, legal process or to protect users, the application or our legal rights.

8. Data retention and deletion

Journal data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the application’s storage or uninstall the application.

You may remove your Finnhub API key from Sereo settings. You may disable optional analytics and crash reporting at any time in the application’s privacy settings.

Information processed by third-party services is retained according to their respective policies and your platform or consent settings.

Sereo does not create user accounts, so there is no server-side Sereo account to delete.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate for the nature of the application. However, no device, storage system or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for securing your device, backups and exported files.

10. Children’s privacy

Sereo is intended for adults interested in trading and financial-market journaling. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. International processing

Third-party providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies and applicable legal safeguards.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Sereo’s functionality, service providers or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
